Myra, using she/her/hers pronouns and originally from the Midwest, engaged with IINSPIRE LSAMP at Des Moines Area Community College, completing four research projects funded by the program. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Iowa State University in 2018. Transitioning to the Boys & Girls Club in Omaha, she assumed the role of STEM Director. By 2022, Myra shifted to Metropolitan Community College, coordinating non-credit courses. Additionally, she mentors with Big Brothers Big Sisters. Currently pursuing an MBA at the University of Nebraska, Myra enjoys cultivating houseplants, reading, and spending quality time with her Jack Russell, Kepler Bean.
